Vibe 98.5 here in Calgary is actually playing a Gary Beals tune now! I think this is the station we should hit. Let them know how well he's done in the cities that have taken the opportunity to play Billy, and how well his video is now doing on MMM. I mean, they play Nickleback and Avril Lavigne now, surely they can play Billy...
What do you all think? Should we send emails, or requests? I say if they just start getting a whole bunch of requests for Billy, they'll take a look at the song.

The VIBE is owned and operated by Standard, as is the Infamous CJAY; in fact, they share staff AND office space. All the difficulties we've had with CJAY, can be expected with the VIBE, since the difficult people we've had to deal with carry on related roles across the halls, so to speak.
We'll pretty much have to wait until they are damn good and ready to play it, before they will.

The Radio station in Winnipeg does NOT have Mr. Ben Jeffery, either. AKA, the previously mentioned 'difficulty' (the kindest name I can come up with for him).

No, it's more of a "let's concentrate where our actions can have an impact, instead of hollaring at someone who is apparently deaf".
I would suggest that we continue to support the stations that ARE playing Billy, as increased spins there will result in other stations picking him up. As well, making contact with other markets to let them know they have fans in that area, and watching for a response.

A friend of mine promotes artists and organizes radio stations to play certain material. I will ask to see if theres anything she can do to help out Billy as for airplay on CJAY and VIBE and other stations in Alberta and Western Canada...
